About

Drew McKechnie is new to the photography scene but is by no means a new photographer. He has avidly created images since receiving a Fisher Price/Kodak camera on Christmas Day in 1985. In high school, Drew took his first photography class and subsequently spent many nights and weekends in the dark room. Travel photography quickly became a hobby during and after college and afforded him the opportunity to snap memorable photos on three continents. He was hooked.

In 2012, at the suggestion of friends and family, he entered a few images into photography contests and most notably placed second in a travel contest held by Travel+Leisure magazine. The surprise success became a source of encouragement and motivation to take his lifelong hobby to the next level. Shortly thereafter, he exhibited some of his work at a few gallery shows hosted by FotoDC, and began selling images.

During the last ten years Drew has lived some of his happiest moments with a camera in hand, exploring National Parks across the United States and Canada and seeing a number of major global cities through his viewfinder.

This site fulfills one of his lifelong goals to be able to share his work with an even broader audience.
