Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park
According to climate data, this park is one of the driest places in the United States, averaging less than seven inches of rainfall and less than one day of rainfall in a given year. That being said, it was pouring when I showed up. After sampling some local cuisine at a diner whose parking lot was quickly becoming a mudslide, the clouds parted and the sun finally arrived. This rare phenomenon resulted in rich orange and brown sandstone colors that make my images appear uniquely (but appropriately) saturated.
