Yosemite National Park

Inspired to walk in the footsteps of John Muir and Ansel Adams, I had wanted to visit Yosemite for a long time before finally making my first trip in September of 2013. My stay was sandwiched between the forest fires that blazed most of the summer and the Federal Government shutdown that closed the park in October. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the park was bustling with wildlife, rock climbers, campers, hikers, photographers, and other visitors. While the Yosemite Valley features many famous vistas and trails, the rest of the park's surrounding mountains and lakes are definitely worth exploring.
